Rights of foreigners and stateless persons in Belarus

Human Constanta
23 December 2021

This analytical note was prepared by the human rights organization Human Constanta, which has been protecting the rights of foreign citizens and stateless people in Belarus for more than five years.

Up to 1,000 transit refugees remain in Belarus at the logistics center in Bruzgi. The total number of foreigners, who are still in the territory of Belarus, is unknown. Against the background of the ongoing humanitarian crisis, we want to outline the general situation with the rights of migrants and refugees in Belarus, which, we believe, is important to be taken into
account when considering ways to resolve this situation.
